This is the Triple Spiral Labyrinth made of rocks and moss on the land at Anam Cara Collective. It is called Tranquil Paths or Cosán Ciúin in Irish.
It was designed and created by Karen and Mack using a sacred pendulum to find the
energic center of each spiral. Karen mapped out the pathways with little pink flags and
biodegradable spray paint. What a beautiful day that was of connection to the energies
of the land and following the flow as we were guided to where each spiral needed to
be. The stones were added over the course of the year from generous donations, hikes
in the woods and along local streams, or stones found on the land. The labyrinth spirals
around trees and stumps, ruts and roots – just like the paths of our own lives tend to do.
The triple spiral is an ancient symbol strongly rooted in Ireland. This symbol has been
present for thousands of years at ancient sites around the world, and experiencing the
triple spiral creates a strong link with our ancestors and with Divine Wisdom. It was
important to Mack that the labyrinth remain as natural as possible.
“What sacred memories will be created by the many feet that trace the triple spiral over the earth?” Moya@tranquilpaths.com.
Walking this labyrinth is a meditation on reflection, release and renewal. All are welcome to walk. Visit our Events page to find out about our next community labyrinth walk.
“Going in and coming out again, circling around as if I am a partner in some strange, archaic dance with the land.” A quote from Sharon Blackie’s book ‘If Women Rose Rooted’ as she writes of her experience of walking a Triple Spiral Labyrinth in Ireland.
